When the flu has struck your house here are the top 5 things my personal Doctor shared with me on how he never gets the flu. I assumed he would push vaccination but instead he saidto keep it simple and keep the simple things routine. Sounds easy until he mentioned how many times we touch our faces in a day.
KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF YOUR FACE
The average person touches there face 4 times an hour. So we get germs on our hands more than we wash our hands so stop touching yourself.
WASH/CLEANSE YOUR HANDS
We inadvertently are going to touch our nose and mouth, so keep the routine of HAND WASHING & ALCOHOL BASED CLEANSERS ROUTINE.
CERTAIN AREAS NEED TO BE DISINFECTED WITH DISINFECTING WIPES OR PAPERTOWELS
Dont worry a tree limb won’t go to waste in this effort of paper towel use. Use disinfecting wipes or a disinfecting spray with paper towels rather han sponges or rags. Sponges are a wet, moist breeding ground for germs and reusable rags are just going to spread the germs. Toilet handles, light switches, remotes, sinks handles, door handles, and anything else that gets used frequently by touching first needs to be disinfected.
EXERCISE …
I know, I know, you’re already over the new year resolution of the workouts but I’m not saying run a 10k. A good 30 minute run or workout to get your heart pumping keeps your immune system ready to fight of germs.
In the words of Uncle Luke (90’s rapper for
thoe who don’t know) “Don’t stop,Get it, Get it”
SLEEP
Uninterrupted sleep is very beneficial to our health. Our immune system will give us what we give it. So the more uninterrupted routine sleep we get the better.
CLICK TO GET YOUR HOME ON A ROUTINE
Most people want to call us to clean when they are sick to clean up after them. We do ask that when your home gets hit with any kind of virus or sickness that you disinfect your home yourself so that we do not catch, spread and get sick ourselves. We suggest using Seventh Generation products.
